Wild Horse Canyon

A huge fault running close to half the length of the continent. It begins below the Tenra lake and runs north, with the Greater Wilds on its west side and the lands leading to the Jerassy Desert to its east. After passing the foothills of the Griffin Peaks the vast walls of the canyon lower into the Shatel Plains. The Wild Horse River, then main artery of Caevalonia, runs through this canyon, starting at the Devil falls – a mile-high waterfall where the Tenra Lake pours into the fault to form the river – and bifurcates where the canyon ends about 200 miles south of Halel.

The north-west bound part of the river, called the Honra River, after the city that stands at the bifurcation, continues up through the Lesser Wilds and ends in a delta in the Meadowlands. The main part, still retaining the name ‘Wild Horse River’ continues north-east, is joined by a tributary from the Griffin Peaks at Mors, and then heading due north until it bifurcates again. The north-westerly fork ends by cutting in half the huge city of Fortune Harbour, where the Imperial Throne is. The other fork, the Listern River, ends in a delta, impassible to anything but the smallest vessels, in Blackmarsh by the lizardman city of Sorth.
